Mental health professionals are shining a light on the pervasiveness of anxiety, highlighting the need for increased awareness and attention to this issue. This course will give educational professionals the tools they need to support students who have anxiety, including foundational knowledge about anxiety, its symptoms, and a look at Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Learn about the crisis in our schools surrounding anxiety and explore strategies and practices for students who experience anxiety. Participants will complete the course with ready-to-implement strategies for teaching coping skills, ideas for accommodations, and considerations for tools and processes to support students who have anxiety. Access to Professional Development courses is available for 12 months from the registration date. This course can be taken by any teacher. It is also approved by Los Angeles Unified School District for 1 Salary Point.
