Mindsets and Mindfulness in the Classroom
Course #
Graduate Credits

Grade Level

Educators are recognizing the value of incorporating mindsets and mindfulness in their classrooms in a number of ways, and this course will give a strong foundation for both concepts. Growth mindsets are responsible for increases in student achievement and efficacy. Once students believe their intelligence is changeable, effort becomes more meaningful, challenges become something to be relished, and mistakes become opportunities. The research-proven benefits of mindfulness include higher test scores, lowering of stress and health risk and self-regulation. Participants in this course will learn strategies and activities to apply the benefits of both mindsets and mindfulness in the classroom, and in life.
